Some of my most favorite phone calls start like that, I assure you. (The preceding sentence is soaked in sweet, succulent sarcasm, in case that needs to be spelled out.) This particular call resulted in my being confirmed on Fox 45 Baltimore for tomorrow morning, at about 6:55 EST or so, to be asked about mosquitoes, West Nile, and other happy summer vector-borne plaguery and prevention. My challenge, as always, will be to get the most appropriate of my occupational catchphrases, “Wash Your Hands!”, in there somewhere.
If you happen to be both awake and in the area, be sure to tune in!
“wash you hands”
yes, a phrase all things medical use these days (wife is in hospice work, so we know)
Mosquito (and other insectiod) born illness are something to worry about, especially in the rain soaked ares of the country at this time. and since i am not in your viewing area, sorry, i will not be up at 6:45am (5:45 my time) unless my cats deem it so….
So… How does “wash your hands” help with a disease who’s vector isn’t physical contact? 🙂
Oh, it doesn’t. I always seem to work “wash your hands” into anything like this that I do. Hence, fr this one, it will be a challenge to do so. 😉
If I ever get a little webcam, I’m going to point it at the ladies’ sinks, then announce nonwashers over the loudspeaker. “Diane, please report to the sink and wash your hands. Diane…” OK, maybe not, but it’s nice to dream!
That… would be awesome. 🙂
