Rather, weekly rounds for last week. I blame the following for the tardiness:
- I gave two talks at the Maryland Association of Osteopathic Physicians‘ fall mini-conference, “The World of Bugs and Us,” on MRSA and Lyme disease. The conference was quite fun, and provided me some fascinating insights into the philosophical mindset of osteopathic physicianry that bears future comment.
- Influenza continues to be the hot medical topic of public discussion, much of it ill-informed and fear based. To that end, I’ve have the pleasure of talking to the Jewish Times about H1N1 influenza concerns, as well as the Kokomo Tribune about measures large corporations can take to limit and prevent influenza outbreaks.
- In addition to attending the tweet-up last Thursday (a damn fine time, and plans are already in the works for another), I made note on the Lifebridge blog about two other more creative H1N1 educational efforts.
